The "Index Maker" feature can be used to organize and catalog your pictures. No more wasting time in your image editor with lots of loading, file browsing, viewing, and mucking with lots of windows just to look through pictures. By default this application will run in demonstration mode in which it is limited to working with up to five images at one time. If you are using OmniWeb and have the OpenUp application installed on your system then skip to step 3 as the distribution file should be extracted automatically when the download is complete. Otherwise, execute all of the following commands from the Terminal command line. Before executing these commands be sure to change to the directory in which the downloaded distribution file is located. 1. The distribution file is compressed with the gzip command so it is first necessary to unzip it with one of the the following commands. gunzip Slider0.9-PI-b.pkg.tar.gz - if you have the MAB distribution - or - gunzip Slider0.9-P-b.pkg.tar.gz - if you have the Power PC distribution - or - gunzip Slider0.9-I-b.pkg.tar.gz - if you have the Intel distribution 2. Then, the 'tar' command is used to extract the installation package. Again, use one of the following commands depending upon the distribution which you have. tar -xvf Slider0.9-PI-b.pkg.tar - if you have the MAB distribution - or - tar -xvf Slider0.9-P-b.pkg.tar - if you have the Power PC distribution - or - tar -xvf Slider0.9-I-b.pkg.tar - if you have the Intel distribution 3.
