Component one of the system features a robust Preferences.app bundle to allow developers to easily customize the look and feel of their code. The IndentPro preferences bundle allows reading and writing of profile files, as well as the ability to dynamically view sample or user defined code. The other two components of the system are key to facilitating the code standardization process. IndentPro provides some significant advantages over the UNIX version of indent. Some of those are: - Preserving and properly indenting Objective-C style comments. - Preserving private interface declaration indentations. - Preserving functionality associated with the '@' operator. - Preserving return statement functionality when evaluating expressions as your return values. IndentPro registers its services via the standard NEXTSTEP Services menu. IndentPro allows any applications which let the user select and edit ASCII text to standardize selected code via Services. The second is indentPro, a command line executable which replaces all uses of the UNIX version of indent. This allows command-line tasks, such as code repository check-in and check-out, to use indentPro. The IndentPro system is available for NeXT, Intel, Sun, and HP systems running NEXTSTEP 3.1 or greater. A fully functional demonstration version, including PostScript user's guide, is available beginning August 16, 1995 at: ftp://ftp.cs.orst.edu/pub/next/submissions/IndentPro_Pkgs.compressed This version will expire on 30 September, 1995. A single seat license may be obtained for US$50. Multiple seat license prices are negotiable. For licensing, please contact Paradigm Systems Corporation via email, fax, or telephone.
