EasyMove is a very simple input server addon that allows you to move and resize a window by clicking anywhere on the window while holding the alt key. This is much easier than looking for the title tab, or the thin border, especially when the window is partially hidden.
Installing EasyMove is not difficult. As EasyMove is an input server filter, you just have to move the file 'EasyMove' in the directory "/boot/home/config/add-ons/input_server/filters/" (simply drop it in the link provided). You will then have to restart the input_server for the change to take effect. Just type this in a terminal:
/boot/beos/system/servers/input_server -q
This small application will allow you to configure EasyMove. You will be able to chose the keys and mouse buttons that will enable EasyMove. All the modifiers selected must be present at the same time, and one of the mouse buttons must be pushed to enable EasyMove.
You can bind four actions (move window, resize window, bring to front and put to back) to different modifier/button combinations. You are free to use the same button to move the window, and to bring it to front, or bring it to front and resize it.
Update rate
This tells EasyMove to move the window to move only when it has received a certain amount of events from the mouse. If you set it to 50%, for example, EasyMove will move the window only when it has received two events from the mouse. This is specially useful when the computer is not powerful enough for the window to follow the mouse.
Move and resize any window
This checkbox allows EasyMove to move and resize the windows that it is normally not possible to resize or move.
The other checkboxes shoulb be self-explanatory.
You don't have to restart the input server for the changes to take effect, the updates are taken into account as soon as you click the checkbox.
