IconToFile does exactly what it sounds like it does: it takes the icons for your application and copies them into files. You'll need a Translator for each format you want to save into. Useful for preparing websites and the like (see the IconToFile product webpages for an example).
No editting capabilities are available. This is strictly conversion, folks. For editting icons in R4, invoke FileTypes on your application or resource file, double-click the icon well, and edit to your heart's content. [Yes, that's what happened to IconWorld.]
Using IconToFile 2.0 is even simpler than earlier versions, which is quite something.
If you don't see an alert, the conversion happened. You'll notice the files appearing in the panel itself.
For example, if you invoke IconToFile on itself, specifying the JPEG translator, it will create files named like "IconToFileM.jpg" and "IconToFileL.jpg", or it will complain at you in some way.

IconToFile is freeware, that is, freely redistributable. Please redistribute, but do not change any of the identifying marks. Easiest and best would be to pass along the entire package file, or a URL to the download file.
Freeware does NOT mean "in the public domain". I wrote this and I own it; no one [else ;-] is to make money off this product. If you feel compelled to contribute something as a token of appreciation, please pass a copy of this product's package file along to a friend, perform some random act of kindness, or throw a dollar or two my way. (Gotta convince the wife this is worthwhile .... ;-)
