DiscJockey v1.01

DiscJockey is a simple skin able cd player that was developed internally here at Hailstone a few months back to test the cd code that will be used in Project Infinity (our current project). We have finally cleaned it up a bit and are putting it out on the net as a free program. Any feed back would be much appreciated on the cd functionality part of the program to help us find and fix bugs. As for feature requests they will be heard but there is no guarantee that they will be implemented.

Whats new in 1.01

- PPC version now available.
- Updated documentation for creating skins.

Usage

With the default skin DiscJockey looks like a standard CD player. The shuffle mode and loop mode buttons are toggle buttons (on or off with each click). The CD device buttons will only be shown for the CD devices attached to your system (in the picture you see 2 because of my CD recorder and normal CD device). The only other thing that is a little different on the app is that you can click the CD time display to cycle through the four possible modes. The settings window is not shown because it should be self explanatory

Notes for PowerPC version

In the PowerPC version of DiscJockey the volume buttons have no effect. The PowerPC version was compiled using the cross platform tools and we would like to thank Richard Foley for testing it for us.

Creating skins

To create a new skin for DiscJockey make a new folder with the name of your skin in the "skins" folder of the DiscJockey folder. This new folder should contain one file called skin.tga. You can use the skin.tga within the default folder as a template for the creation of your skin. If you want to share your custom skin(s) with others send us your skins and we will put them on the web site for others to download.
