FTP-FS Mount allows to enter the address of the FTP server, the user name, a password and whether it should remember the password (= stores it in bookmark file!)

When enabling the "Open Path in Tracker"-checkbox, this is the path on the FTP server, that should be opened in the Tracker-Window.
Use "~" to changed to the home directory on the FTP server.
Leave it empty to prevent opening a window for the mounted volume.

Additionally FTP-FS Mount allows to changed advanced settings by enabling the Show Advanced Settings check box:

The rules for the Volume Name can be set using 1 of 3 choices.

The Encoding drop-down menu allows to select a character encoding for directory entries.
Use ISO 8859-1 if you e.g. mount Win98 or AmigaOS.

In the Port field, the port of the FTP server can be specified. Default is port 21.

The maximum size of the cache can be entered in the Cache Size field. Default is 50 MB.

The option Delete cache on unmount if enabled the cache is deleted when the FTP volume is unmounted. If disabled the cache is not deleted when the FTP volume is unmounted. This allows faster access to frequently used files. But keep in mind, that you might use an old version of a file. By default deleting the cache on unmount is enabled.

The Passive connection option allows to select passive (PASV ftp command) or active (PORT ftp command) connection mode when transfering data. Default is passive. If a FTP server does not support passive mode, you can try active connection mode.

If the option RFC standard conform is enabled FTP client is strict RFC conform. If disabled does not send IP and Sync in FTP commands. Required e.g. by Cerberus FTP Server for Windows.

If the Interruptable Downloads option is enabled, downloads are interrupted or even aborted under certain situations. If the contents of a directory is requested from the FTP server and a file download is in progress, the file download is interrupted and continues after the directory has been downloaded. A file download is aborted if the file is not useed by any application.
If the Interruptible Downloads option is disabled, downloads are not aborted at all.

Amiga Partitions allows to specify partitions on an Amiga separated by ',' comma.
Note: ":" is not part of the partition name and partition names can contain spaces, so don't put spaces after partition names or around "," where they don't belong.
Example:
If you want to mount "sys:", "work:" and "comm:" from an Amiga, the string should be "sys, work, comm".

Clicking the button Save to bookmark saves the data to the bookmark file (Shortcut: COMMAND+S).

Clicking the button Save and Mount saves the data and the tries to mount the FTP server (Shortcut: ENTER or RETURN).

When the server could be mounted successfully, a volume icon appears on the Desktop and a Tracker window will be opened with the directory of the specified path. If this path is not found on the FTP server, the root directory of the FTP server will be shown. If the path is left empty, no Tracker window will be opened. The mount point of the FTP server is within the directory /boot/home/ftpfs/. The symbolic link "Mounted FTP Servers" in the FTP-FS installation folder points to this directory.

When OpenTracker is used the installation script copies the template bookmark file to the template files of OpenTracker. So a new bookmark file can be created with the context menu of OpenTracker:
New -> FTP Bookmark.
