ObjektSynth v0.7 BETA
Copyright 1997 Objekt, Detroit, USA.
---------------------------

This is a preview/beta release of ObjektSynth for BeOS DR8.
It is meant to give you an idea of where we're headed, and
hopefully let you make some cool music with your BeBox.
It supports the MIDI ports on the BeBox and reads standard
MIDI files on all machines. All parameters can be controlled
via MIDI.

Please mail bug reports, comments, questions, and suggestions
to objekt@objektsynth.com.

INSTALLATION

Put it anywhere.

USAGE

Double-click.

To play a standard MIDI file, drop it on the ObjektSynth icon.

Filter resonance is specified as 1/Q, so "0" means infinite
Q (and self-oscillation) and 2.0 gives a Q of 0.5 (i.e., no
resonance).

KNOWN BUGS

MIDI input is garbled when more than one patch is assigned
to the same MIDI port. MIDI files are not affected. To
play two patches in real-time via MIDI, you will have to
use both MIDI ins for the time being.

If you load a preset while viewing an input panel, changes
will not be shown until you close and re-open the panel.

NOTES

Module connections and parameter values are stored in
presets. At the moment, MIDI control sources are not
saved.

The preset format will change in the future, breaking all existing
presets. We will do our best to provide a conversion utility or
something.
