AppBar v0.1 - a program launcher for PowerBar
---------------------------------------------

This is a distant relative of my program, AppBar for Win32. That version
is a "Start Menu-like" menubar which is customizable to launch any
application or folder. This is somewhat like that except it has been
dumbed down to fit into a PowerBar module.

To use, simply place "appbar" in your PowerBar modules directory and
"appbar.cfg" in /system/settings.

Kudos go to Steve Sprang for PowerBar and his simple API for addon modules.

Helpful tip
-----------

AppBar uses a specially formatted text file "/system/settings/appbar.cfg"
to store the menu layout. You need to edit this file by hand to change
the config. Please see config.html for information on the layout of the
file. I have tested both Edit and elvis (a vi clone) and both worked fine
(you never know when you write your own text parsing routines).

Pitiful begging
---------------

If anyone wants to make a nifty icon for AppBar, please send it to me.
You'll get my thanks, a firm handshake if we ever meet and the knowledge
that you helped improve free software. The diamond is a placeholder.
