Jaws .9 (aka Paranoia)

What is it?

It's just another web-server, written mainly to replace the Poormans web-server bundled with BeOS. It features a very nice 'on the fly' hierichal display of what your web-site looks like, and how many hits each section of it has got. It saves a logfile so that you can monitor specific downloads. Click here for a screenshot.

Installation

Just unzip the archive wherever you like to have Jaws, and double-click it's icon to start it. You will be prompted to set the root directory for your web-pages (default /boot/home/public_html), aswell as the directory to store the logfile in (default /boot/home). The log is stored under the name JAWS.logfile.

Usage

Just start Jaws, and it'll happily do your and everyone else's bidding. Should you have some other webserver running already, you will be prompted to quit it.

Starting Jaws from your BootScript

Add this line to your UserBootScript, and Jaws will always start when you reboot:

Jaws -minimize &
