About HotFTP

HotFTP is a simple GUI ftp client for BeOS. It give you easy downloading and uploading with ftp servers.

• Resume downloading
• Syncronize local file and remoe file
• Separate downloading and uploadig

Connecting to ftp server

Select "Connect" menu item from server window. Input address,logoin ,password and so on, then press Connect button. If you check Anonymous checkbox, Login is "anonymous" and Password is e-mail address your e-mail account edited by BeOS e-mail preference.
If you want to connect from address displayed in NetPositive URL field , drag and drop URL into HotFTP Servers window listed your favorite servers. On this method , you can connect to address displayed in any applications, like StyledEdit and so on.

Adding ftp server to favorites

Select "Add Server" menu item from Server window. Input address,logoin ,password and so on, then press Add button. You CANNOT use server name including "/" charactor.

Downloading file

You can download file and folders by just drop file from Tracker or Local file list pane.

Uploading file

You can upload file and folders by just drop file from Tracker or Local file list pane.

File mapping

If you select auto transfer mode, transfer mode is select by extensions.
These extensions are mapped ASCII transfer mode( Not case sensitive).

Others are mapped Binary transfer mode.
