Here you see Bookmobile's toolbar. Each numbered square represents a folder
contained in the /boot/home/config/settings/Bookmobile folder. Each folder contains up to 10 bookmarks, numbered 0 - 9, in that order.
Clicking the button, or pressing the corresponding number key on the keyboard, will open that folder's drop-down list, as shown in the screen shot.
You will see that the "0" folder list is open, and the "3" slot has ben highlighted with the mouse. Clicking the slot will open the specified
browser to that page; in this example, BeNews.com. If the keypad is used to launch a bookmark, entering the second number would launch the
bookmark, so to go to BeNews, all you would have to do is hit 03! Let's go over that again. Bookmarks can be launched in two ways.
You can use the mouse to navigate the menus and launch the bookmark of your choice.
You may also use the keyboard. If the toolbar is active, pressing any number 0-9 will open that folder's drop-down list. Pressing a second
number will launch that bookmark! To change folder's press the ESC key (or the "/" key on the numeric keypad) and then press the new folder's
number. This is just one example of the "navigation by numbers" concept. If you want to open a different folder, press the ESC (or "/") key to
close the list. One advantage to "navigation by numbers" is that you can launch your favorite sites just my memorizing a two-digit number.
NOTE: When the toolbar is active it will be a bright color, when it is not, it will be dull. If you are like me, and have "focus follows mouse"
enabled, you will need to hover the cursor over the toolbar to make it active. If "focus follows mouse" is disabled, you will need to enter the
following keystroke to make it active [alt + ctrl + shift].
To change the way your mouse behaves, open the mouse preferences panel in the Be menu.
New Feature!
You can now use the "Hot Key" feature to avoid putting the window in focus! This option is discussed in Menus & Options
under the "Hot Key" point.
